With deep appreciation and sincere love for Al Miller ….. “If A Guy Could”
The question is not, “If a guy could”,
But rather it’s this, “If our Al should”.
Things to be done are quite on his mind.
It’s too bad he’s not more than one of a kind.
“If a guy could” can see a new site,
Can look to the valley and climb to the height.
But “if’s” not the question cause the talent is there.
It’s wondering what time, what time can I spare!
“If a guy could” has so much to do –
He’s working with buildings that never are new.
With landlords that know he’d be good for the hire,
But thinking of that just gets him wired.
The answer is this, if you’re clever like he:
Just go to the golf course and go to the tee.
Will it get done in this reason and rhyme?
It will for it’s all in God’s perfect time!
So when he keeps thinking, “If a guy could”,
Let’s think abut this: What if we would?
For God in His dealings with us as mere men,
Knows that though we were ruined, He made us part of the plan.
So much to do, so much to say –
