The Lord gave us a four-point reason during last night’s prayer meeting.
INDIFFERENCE – Many people do not care about being holy. They are interested in what God does FOR them, but not what they can BE for God. “Be” means to “be, exist, come to be, become”. Spending time with someone you love will result in your “becoming” like them. Spend time with Jesus.
IGNORANCE – Perhaps some do not realize that holiness is the only prerequisite for the presence of God – “Without holiness no man shall see The Lord” – Hebrews 12: 14. People have gone into exile for lack of . . . KNOWLEDGE – Isaiah 5: 13. Holiness is not how we look to others, but how we present ourselves before God.
IDOLATRY – God will not take second place to any idol in our life, be it person, pride, or presumption. Idols will eventually bring us to the place where we must choose between them and God. Now is the best time to choose GOD!
IDLENESS – Christendom has become lazy! We are waiting for God and He has been waiting for us. People doing nothing, sharing nothing, knowing nothing will get just that …..nothing.
